An interactive experience connecting Visa with TIFF fans.

In partnership with a local Toronto agency we designed, developed, and implemented a real-time social media board for Visa to use throughout TIFF 2016.

Social Media Wall


As Canada’s number one credit card and one of TIFF’s largest sponsors, Visa teamed up with the festival to create an interactive experience for movie lovers. Visa engaged with the public at multiple touch points throughout the festival, encouraging them to tag their interactions at TIFF using a unique hashtag.

Design Direction

We designed a custom social media board to reflect all of the real-time content that was being published by Visa Canada at TIFF.

Posts that were tagged with #VisaTIFF appeared on an digital display board, assembling photos shared from Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter in a tile formation. The board filtered through the events most recent posts and showcased them through a continuous live-feed waterfall display.


The board pulled content from Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram in real-time.

With this board we were able to encapsulate the view of TIFF from different perspectives to create a collaborative snapshot of the festival. It also gave the community an opportunity to share their excitement about Visa’s innovative products with their followers online.


By the end of TIFF thousands of unique and individual pieces of content were displayed on the Visa social screen in real time.
